D&S has never wrote a blog or a newsletter before, but we figured that we might as well jump on the bandwagon and get with the times. Why might you ask? We wanted to create a sense of community for our readers while giving a little preview into what happens here at our family operation. At the moment, it only feels fitting to write an introduction about who D&S is.

At the moment, it only feels fitting to write an introduction about who D&S is.

You might find yourself wondering, “who is D&S Tires and what can they do for me?”.  D&S is is a family run business that has continued to deliver the same quality products and excellent service for nearly 50 years in the tire business. D&S Tires Inc. made its debut back in January of 1971, that’s when Dick and Sandy Critel started renting the old skating rink located at 661 South Lincoln Street in West Point, Nebraska. What originally started as a retail tire store in 1971, has transformed into a leading tire and track repair shop. D&S Tires specializes in retreading and repairing rubber tracks and irrigation tires, as well as rebuilding drive wheels, mid rollers, and idler wheels for agricultural tracked machines. We are also the largest Alliance Tire dealer in Northeast Nebraska, carrying many different makes and models to fit all of your tire needs.

Welcome to one of the most hectic times of the year, also known as harvest. For many, its time to bring out the fall decor and light a pumpkin spice candle or two. For the agriculture world, its a little more complex than that. While we understand that this time of year can be stressful, we wanted to remind you that D&S Tires Inc. is here to help you with any tire or track needs. If you haven't done so yet, right now is the time to get a fresh set of tires or tracks for your equipment. If you're looking at your current tracks or tires and you are second guessing the tread life, it's probably a sign that you should give us a call. Whether it be grain cart tracks, combine tracks, flotation tires... you need it, and we got it! Don't forget to check your pivot tires once your crops are out of the field. Not checking the air pressure in your current pivot tires with winter approaching is a death sentence for your tires. Remember, when your crops are out its the most optimal time to replace your irrigation tires!
